I have a 1997 Nitro 700LX with a Mercury 75 hp on it. I want to raise the motor up 2 holes but there are 3 flanges on the left side of motor transom bracket & the middle one would block the splashwell drain hole. What is the flange for & can I cut it off, so I can raise the motor up?
