I appreciate all of your input on my problem a couple of weeks ago guys . I was having a problem with my 175 Evinrude dying on me every time I tried to take off with it . I was having to choke it to get it to come out of the hole . After realizing that I had two carbs that were 1 3/8 and one that was 1 5/16. And after cleaning the ones I had (with no luck ) , and referring to you all for help . I bought a matching set of carbs ( 1 5/16 )type III carbs that were pulled from an Evinrude 200 . The motor is running like new now . It's like a totally different motor . The first start of the day took only a couple of bumps to the choke , and from then on it was one quick tap of the key and she was ready to go . Running great , idling great , and seems to be burning much less fuel . Sure feels good to get that over with . Thanks for the help !
