Problem with 7.4 Bravo 1

I have a '95 Baja 236. Bravo 1 7.4L Carbureted. A couple of years ago, I had about 40 gallons of fuel in the boat. I need to mention that the boat ran just fine then. Let's just say a few things happened, and the boat wasn't run for a couple of years. I tried to run the boat, it would idle, sort of, but not run well at all. I didn't even take it on the water. This year, I had the fuel evacuated, the tank cleaned. I replaced the fuel line and canister filter. I refueled the boat. It starts and idles. I can run it full song on the trailer out of gear. However, when I put it in the water, I could only muster 1800 RPM at full throttle. Any ideas?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... My guess is ya cleaned up everything But the carb, which is probably where the problem is,...

Yep, that's what it was. Had the carb rebuilt. Took the boat out over the weekend and it ran pretty well. Still needs a tune-up, but that's to be expected.
