problem with hydraulic trim cylinder replacement

i need to replace the shock rod assembly(a.k.a hydraulic cylinder)How does it come undone?cant find that darn manual,parts comming in on july 5th.I see 2 little wholes on top of the casing,does it require a special tool ?does it thread off?1995 120 force design 1 for the trim assembly.Any sugesstion?

The holes are for a spanner wrench. It screws off counterclockwise. Be careful of the O-rings when reassembling. They like to get cut on those threads. I don't know if they have them, but places like AutoZone loans out tools. Or take it to a marine dealer and maybe they can crack it loose for you and snug it up when you're done. That is if you can find one open. On-water facilities probably will be. Good luck.

i figgered it was some kind of wrench,i just wasnt too sure.Thanks a mil for the info i really appreciate it.now too find a spanner wrench or call around the pros and see who will do it for me at a decent price.
