I am helping restore a 1984 381 Chris Craft and need help.

i must manually switch the breaker switch on in order to get the macerator pump (grinder?) to run for the toilet on a 381 CC. I think that this device should automatically come on and run when the toilet is flushed? Currently, it only comes on when the breaker is switched and runs until the breaker is shut off. Anyone know what activates this pump and what tells it to shut off?

The boat does have the air power assit flushing system, which is on the same breaker.

You could run a switch next to the head.

I have found that the problem is clearly the vacuum switch and / or the duck bill valves in the vacuum pump. contact in TX for pricing of the vacuum switch and duck bill valves. They are AER Supply @ 800-767-7606
