problem with Minkota 460 charger

the charger. charges 12v. on 3 of the circuits and on the cranking battery leads only puts 4.9 volts... Tested with a multimeter across the leads disconnected from the battery. Minnkota Diagnostics say check connections...

Any suggestions?

That output is probably bad if the other outputs read 12V.

I charged the cranking battery off another portable charger to 12v. Took the Skeeter fishing for the afternoon and plugged the MinnKota in that evening. Next days all circuits charging.... go figure.

MinnKota Service Center was great and sent me a replacement charger. I'll install that one just to be safe.

Here it is less than 30 days and bank number 3 on the new 460 is out. Any ideas?
