Hi guys,
I got the SS prop for my 05 15 hp 4 stroke Mercury outboard. It seems to do everthing I had hoped, but after testing it I found it was loose on the shaft. I examined it more closly and found that it wobbled around on the shaft.
I found that the thrust washer was a loose fit to the 1.000" bore of the saturn. Both my original prop and a Michigan
032050 9X10 1/2 have a .004" clearence between the bore and the shoulder of the thrust washer. The clearence on the Saturn is .016". I have talked to a rep. that said the thrust washer was not supposed to center the leading edge of the prop. There is .030" clearence between the internal bore of the Saturn and the OD of my splined output shaft. How is this supposed to work???? Steelspike I would love your input on this if you are around.
