Problems WIth Gauges

I having a jumpy tach first i need to know where excatly it hooks up on the engine i have a 150 vro 1990 modle ive checked the hookes up in the engine the other thing is i need to know is where to hook up the temp gauge

A lot depends on what kind of control box you have.

If it's a side mount, the tach may be plugged into the box right below the key. It's a three pronged plug.

Temp. guage senders usually attach to a head bolt. Starboard (right) side top is best.

i got the temp sender sc reweded in to the block at the the little tupe and the bottom of the pawer head i guess its called the bypass tube and the tach issue i cleaned the terminals and it works more now but still cuts off
BUT if i tap on the rectifyer/regulator it will kickback on

BUT if i tap on the rectifyer/regulator it will kickback on

DISCONNECT the battery.

1. Remove the rectifier and check the mounting (ground).

2. Remove the negative battery lead from the engine block and clean it thoroughly.

3. Reinstall the battery connections. You should NOT be using wing nuts.

You rectifier may be on its way out but many times it's just the ground.

ill check it out tommorow the other prob is that when i first tru to start it its hard to start the primer is working and i seems like its only running on 4 cyclinders but the starter also i can move the shatf abot 1/8 inch ine any directtion and the switch is sticking
