Problems with trim (up) on outdrives - Alpha One

I am having a problem lifting my port side outdrive using the switch on my shifter. The trailer mode works, but not the regular trim up. I have been trying to trace back the wiring from the shifter and cannot seem to locate the 'control box' shown in my repair manual.

Does anyone know where this control box would be or does anyone have a wiring diagram that they can send me or send me a link to? Or, if anybody may have any other suggestions.....all help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1988 Sea Ray Sundancer 270 with twin Mercruiser 4.3L engines and Alpha One outdrives.

Thanks!

IM betting you have a bad trim limit switch, or a broken wire to it. You can manually turn your outdrive and look on the drive and see your limit switch on the port side of the drive. Y ou can see the wires if you tug on them you can tell if they are broken off. That is a common problem. Dont just splice these wires. Get the kit (has both the sender for the guage and the limit switch) and replace per instructions.

Thanks for the info. I will run a test on my limit switch.
I am only having the problem getting the outdrive to come up. It goes down no problem. Do you think it is still the switch?

I had the exact same problem with mine after I put on a new transom assembly.Would only go up with trailer switch but would go down with trim switch.Just needed to adjust the limit switch and it worked fine.
