SeaStar hydraulic jack plates are specifically designed mounting brackets for an outboard motor that allow you to raise or lower the motor vertically.

Here are four good reasons you need a SeaStar jackplate for your boat.

A good jackplate makes your boat go faster: A Jackplate will lift your engine and position your propeller closer to the water line. This removes much of the lower unit from the water which reduces drag and increases the speed of your boat. Most jack plates will provide 1 to 4 mph gain, depending on application. This could not be performed by just raising your current engine without the risk of overheating due to lack of water to the intakes on the lower unit. A jack plate will allow the engine to be raised and still get water pressure to the water intakes on the lower unit because the engine is now set back several more inches from the hull, thus allowing water to still enter the water intakes.

Easily get into and out of shallow water: With your jack plate up and your engine trimmed, your propeller is now much closer to the water line allowing you to safely get into and navigate shallow water. That's important when the fish are biting but you can't reach them.

Enhanced handling: Having your engine up and set back from the transom enhances handling. Your boat will perform more like a longer hull because the push point is further back on the transom.

Improved fuel economy: Lifting the engine with a jack plate reduces drag and moves the propeller further away from the transom so as to avoid the boat's turbulence as it travels through the water. Running with less drag means you will get further on less fuel. Most boaters run 3/4 throttle position which allows more miles per gallon simply based on performance and RPM's.

The SeaStar jackplate is one of the sleekest and most durable engine jackplates available. This essential performance accessory comes in both manual and hydraulic versions. Your setback of choice will depend on your boat application and your boating needs. Available in 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch setbacks, it also has a new, high-speed, hydraulic actuator that lifts engines 5.8" in 8.5 seconds. The SeaStar Jackplate is rated for 300 horsepower engines that weigh up to 625 pounds. Seastar also has their new HD series jack plate that will handle up to 350 horsepower or 785 pounds available in 4" and 6" setbacks.

The all new SeaStar jackplate features sleek, bold styling that is redefining the look for jackplates. They are specifically designed to work with our Seastar cylinders for optimum clearance when in tilt mode.
