This past weekend got the ball rolling on my "Project Basket Case" or so I am calling it because I purchased the boat in parts from a previous owner who also had bought it taken apart from the previous owner to him.

Started with degreasing and sanding the bilge area. Then painted with 3 coats of Total Boats, TotalBilge paint. Seems to have turned out very good. Much better than using oil base house paint as I have used in the past. No real tips or tricks here just basic sanding and painting. I did notice one thing of interest tho, After I had finished painting I had some water run out from further up inside the boat. Im guessing it was from under the fuel tank or something. This did not effect the new paint in anyway. It just seemed to pool up on the surface of the new paint and sit there. Unlike if I had used something else it would have had some adverse effect on the new painted area. So props to that product.

I also removed almost all of the original wiring harness from the entire boat as I have a surprise way of controlling everything that I will show later on in the build.

For those eagle eyed persons that will say I missed some spots, remember this bilge paint. I am going to paint the engine compartment with top side paint next.
