Project boat will need new Prop

I have a 1985 Regal Empriss 2000. It is a 20' cuddy cabin It originaly was a 230 hp mercruiser with a 15 1/2 X15 pitch prop (It is in Verry bad shape)
I am building a new 350 chevy for it, I need to get a new Prop just to find out what I will need.I am thinking of trying a 17 or 19 pitch prop to start with, and its weight is about 3100lbs.. Any sugestions ???

Can you tell us what your drive ratio is and what HP level you expect??

My drive ratio is 1.5-1 and I am hoping for 275-300 hp. Thanks!!
