Well due to my boat sinking while I was on vacation last week, it appears I'm going to start next year's project this year.

The goal is to replace deck, stringers (as needed) and to build a new center console. What will prove to be the hardest part will be working conditions. I do not have access to interior work space for more than a day at a time. What I *may* do is to haul the boat to our "high bay", do some work and then take the trailer back until next time. Obviously I'll need to keep it covered outside once the work begins.

I went to Marine Liquidators in Ft Pierce, Florida while on vacation to look at consoles. They were all great and I look forward to doing business with them in the future. Their prices were good and they had what I could have used. The problem is that by the time shipping gets added, it becomes more money than I want to spend. Still cheaper than buying locally though.

Hermit,
Yeah it was the ice. Float I was tied to went under and took the boat with it.

Long story short, boat was lifted out of water using a crane and dropped onto trailer. Cape Marine took the boat immediately and dealt with the motor. $700.

I now have to run the motor every couple of days under load.

Question is, what do I do with 50 gallons of bad gas?

Do you know anything about those consoles that guy is selling?
