Any thoughts as to the validity of some of the bizzare reports surrounding the 1943 Philadelphia experiment aboard the USS Eldridge?

they had a special on the history chanel(I think) years ago. It led you to believe it was true.

In the cold war age, I wouldn't put it past a scientist (or team of) to experiement like that.
