Trust me, I am no expert, but (here comes the opinion anyway ) when I was looking at a Hydrosport, the research I did suggested that this was a well built boat especially the hull.

Re: Proline Vs Hydrosport

This is funny when I was shopping for my previous boat I too was down to either a Hydrosport or a Proline. I test rode both, plus a friend of mine had a Hydrosport already that I had been on a few times. I ended up with the Proline. Not to say it is a better boat as I think they are real close, but the Proline (to me) felt a little more solid as far as T-Top and console rattles in the water. I ended up buying the 22' with a 225 Mercury and it was a fantastic boat. No complaints at all. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Let us know what you end up with.

Re: Proline Vs Hydrosport

A friend has a 29' Pro-line WA w/ I/O power and another has a 24' Hydro-Sport Vector CC with Twin 150 Yamahas on the back.

Both are nice boats but I like the Hydro-Sport better.

Re: Proline Vs Hydrosport

I've worked for both. Built the first 3000 Vectors at Hydra-Sports in '98 (left Wellcraft for about 6 months when Todd Biddison ran HS), and have worked at Pro-Line since '06. HS uses higher end materials and hardware than PL. That's about the difference, and it shows up in the cost. Both companies use navel architects for their hull designs. That being said, it's simply seatrialing each boat in varying conditions and deciding for yourself which boat is better for YOU...

Like a car, dont buy a boat that was rigged up in a Monday. Especially a boat, I've been there.:D. Seatrial 2 of each if you can. No 2 are alike.

As much as I think a boat purchase should be a man's decision...your wife is gonna be pissed everytime she wishes she had a bathroom.
