Hello Starmada !!
Let me first apologize for being MIA for so long. Life throws us curves sometimes, but I assure you all is well here in Florida.
I just returned from my folks cottage in Northern Indiana, and I brought home my next BIG thing! A 1967 Starcraft Falcon, with a 1968 Johnson 40HP. Our long time neighbor was going through the big "D", and the long story short, I paid $500 for my sweet lil gurl. I must say she is in AWESOME condition! All the trim is there even the windshield. Floors and rivits were re-done in 2004 and she has been in dry/garage storage since 2006. I did find a tinge of dry rot on the transome (top corner) and the PO decided to brush paint blue over the origional(i assume) orange paint. It took some doing with the origional trailer to make it road worthy, but she came home fine, except when the right metal fender decided to fall off in Kentucky (sorry to the semi-truck behind me).
I know your gonna be the Angry MOB, but I think I lost my log-in pw for pics. If someone could PM me instructions or a link, I WILL post pics.
All my best-ProMach

It's good to be a MBO!!! I'm lovin it. I've been lucky with some great boats. Problem is now, all my neighbors think I need to sell some off. Not gonna happen! I don't think one boat can do it all, next up is a chieftain. Lol

yeah, its kinda like a "rat rod" for the water.lol thanks barato, and everyone else as well.
im working on a color scheme for her though. im gonna have to do something with the transome this winter, but for now i'll have to get her purring. PO said he couldnt the engine to fire up last( in 2006) so he put it in storage, as you can see in the pics.
does anyone know if orange was a stock color in 1967? but keep in mind the main Starcraft plant is only 30 mins away. So it leaves me to think its a custom order.

hey - thanx guys, for the compliments and the book. Knowing the PO wasnt really into the mechanical side (i believe) i think she might need a simple plug change. I'm not taking a chance though, a good going through the engine might prove to be a good thing. First shes going to get a bath and "de-oiling"(see pic) .

it's worth at least trying to start it with fresh plugs before you do much else. i always assume carbs will be crudded up and need cleaning but have been pleasantly surprised a few times. old piston rings that have been sitting for a while, esp on 2 strokes, seem to loosen up and seal much better after a few heat cycles.

remember not to run it for more than maybe 15-20 sec unless you have water from the telltale to indicate your water pump is working OK
