Anybody run this manu's stuff? This just seems a bit better refined somehow than the Sterling unit. The layout/box and the cover perhaps, not sure.

Just stuck it in, think the insides are the same as Sterling unit though, just a different box is all, not sure. The LED's layout/order all too familiar, probably the same PCB then most likely w same functionality/code.
We'll see, I'll run it, maybe pull some data on it, compare the two. I really like the Sterling, works quite well so far. All three batts always/staying topped off, prevents backfeeds......isolates the/any low batt that needs charge w/o paralleling it w a full batt. etc., only complaint? Received it and Batt. #2 LED was dead(the box even had a QC sticker where someone had hand wrote, "LED 2" on the sticker....hmmmm, QC issues? And, just the other day, Batt. #3 LED went dead. The unit however runs and switches perfectly still.
Strange, never had LEDs just fail unless they are over current biased and they smoke. Anyway, I replaced the #2 LED when I got it just cuz I can and the one I took out was sure as s**t open. Assuming #3 is open now....Weird.
And no, doesn't look/feel/taste like they have too much current through the LED's, they aren't too bright, nor are they running even warmish to the touch. Think the blue LED's are design flawed/infant moralities from manu.
They do have 5 year warranty for these type things tho and oh well, luck of the draw perhaps, just LED's, but a pain non the less to be shipping it off for LED issues.....Think I'll run wires off the Sterling unit's LED solder points a for remote array of 7 LED's that inset in my volt meter in the dash. Swap the two and have a good working spare. Winter project!!
