I have a 2000 crownline lpx 7.4l bravo 3. Im running stock 3x3 15x28p and i believe the small prop is a 13x28p. Im running 4800 rpm. Wondering of i go to a 4x3 15 1/2 and 14 1/2 28p xr bravo3 props, will my boat perform any better? Looking to maybe drop rpm a bit and gain a little top end.

What is the WOT (wide open throttle) Merc-specified maximum RPM for that motor? Your first step is see if you're hitting that rpm at top speed with a normal load. If you're close to what Merc recommends, then changing props won't buy you anything.
