Prop Advice

I am running a 21' manatee with a 155 Evinrude Commercial. I recently bought a 4 blade stiletto stainless prop w/ vent holes. I am only getting 4500 rpm at WOT. The prop is a 14.25x 22 and I am hitting about 43mph. so additional speed is not necessary. Does anyone have any suggestion as to the proper prop? Thanks again.

Senor shorenomore,<br />As a rule of thumb, 1" of pitch = 200rpm so a 20" should put you up around 5 grand. Probably pick up a some speed. You would also pick up some revs with a three bladed prop but I don't know how many. That's why proping is so much work. It's mostly trial and error.<br /><br />g'luck & c/6<br /><br />Hooty

Thanks Hooty. I was planning on dropping to an 18 pitch Stiletto assuming I can trade this one in. I also figured 4 blade would give me better hole shot. Just wondering if I am traveling down the right trail.
