Prop change and now need new motor.

That is quite common on those high reving 2 cylinder motors.----What boat was it on ?---What pitch was the prop/s ?

I assume it was ventilation.

first prop would do 30 mph(before it got chipped and dinged up)....2nd not over 12 mph....once at 12 mph it would gain rpm but not gain speed.

Most bass boats with a 150 would be turning a much taller prop at least in the low 20s. With a 13 it wouldn't matter who made the prop, it was going to over rev severely.

When I search iboats with Michigan Wheel part #992311....I get 12.25 x 13 it should be 12.5 x 13 per Michigan Wheel, correct me if I am wrong.

Fact---This damage did not occur because you changed props.----Motor was ready to blow up before that !!!!!

So in your opinion...

Or crack it open and see what the damage is.

Step # 1 is to open it up.------You will learn a lot for future use.---Keep it for parts if you find a similar motor?-----Parts may be available cheap if you search and wait.----Want to go boating next week than do the BOAT thing .---Means " Bring Out Another Thousand " or more today.
