i have a 13.75" 15 prop on a '95 88SPL pushing a 17' CC.

i have a line on an SS 14" 19 prop...

will the 14" prop fhysically fit? yes.

however, at what point is the clearance between the tip of the prop and the cav plate too close.

is there any drawback at all as long as blade doesnt make contact?

thx.

Re: prop clearance

There's < 1/8" clearance on my E-Tec when fitted with my BRP Rebel prop.

Re: prop clearance

How much do you like that Rebel prop?
What boat is it on?
What is the pitch?

The Rebel has the surface area that a similar 4 blade does. The blades are huge and 15 3/4" diameter.
Mine is a 15" pitch.
It's on an 1850 Seaswirl.

It would be my favorite prop if it wasn't so expensive...it gets the best mpg (5+) and the control is outstanding (including reverse). We do a lot of shallow water exploring and I tear up props regularly so I don't use the Rebel anymore.

I used to be a prop junkie.
