I have a 15 hp johnson that is used as a kicker motor. Runs real good but there is a couple of minor issues. First is the prop. It has corrosion on the face of the blades under the paint, If it is light enough, can I just hand sand and repaint or should I just look at replacing it. It is alluminumummm.

Re: prop corrosion

If it is mild, I would just sand it down and repaint it. BUT, if is is extensive, it would be safer to gat a new prop and make this one a spare.

Re: prop corrosion

some of this boating stuff really is just common sense, but the manual that I bought just says to watch for dings and what to watch for as far as ballance goes. Thank you for your sound advice.
