It depends on a several things. <br /><br />Are you talking about the same brand / style props or different?<br /><br />3 and 4 blade props generally run best at different X dimensions. Are you using a jackplate? Is the 4 blade dialed in perfectly now?
The current 4 blade is need of replacing, I found a used and affordable 3 blade afforementioned prop. Original prop factory renegade, replacement is "Rapture Brand". No Jackplate and the original 4 blade dialed in real good.
Comparing a Rapture to a Renagade is not apples to apples. We dont know what "dialed in real good" means with out some numbers but I'd be willing to bet the Renagade bites better than a Rapture.
If you'll post your numbers (top rpm and accurate speed) we'll run them and see where your slip percentage is now. <br /><br />Never hurts to establish a good baseline. We like to do it with an average load.
