Just purchased my first boat. 190 original hours, clean as a whistle. live in Miami and this was a seasonal fresh water boat in PA.
It has a 3 blade aluminum prop that i want (need?) to change to SS.. possibly 4 blade. I used the search tool on this site, and the cheapest 4 blade is a Solas HR Titan for $314.
I plan to use the boat to cruise for dinner, [amateur] skiing (1x skier at a time), and some wakeboarding. I hear the 4 blade has significantly more bite to help get a skier up. Do i need the 4 blade?
When poeple say you lose top end for a 4 blade.. are we talking 1-2 knots or... more like 5ish?
Also, i can barely read the numbers on the current prop.. looks like pitch is 21"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm planning on attending the April Florida gtg btw.
