I have a 57' Evinrude Fastwin 18 HP and I"m looking to buy a new prop. I have no clue on pitch, steel vs alum, etc. I want something that has good top end. I dont plan on water sking or anything. Just kind of a middle class prop. I've seen some here on iboats but not sure of the pitch I need. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

A 9/14" dia x 11" pitch is the standard issue prop. It planes out my 14' v-bottom with no problems.

Hello boat experts,

I have a 15HP 1952 Evinrude used as outboard for my 24 ' sailboat "Shannon May ONE". I need lower end RPM torque for manuevering in the marina.

RIght now at 4000 RPM The sailboat is on the plane and hauling fast which I don't really need.

Any help on alternate prop configuration will help. Email "dandsbishop2290@peoplepc.com"

Thank

If we do this by email nobody learns anything but you.
First thing; if really a 52 its a 14 hp. made for only a few years.53 was first year for a 15.
same gear ratio 9 X 11 prop. You need lower number than the 9 X 10.
I'll have to check on the prop. Props from newer motors may fit.
Check the prop for numbers originally came with a 9 X 10.
There are props for the 53-56 15 hp here at iboats 7" being the lowest pitch.
Lower pitch will let the motor rev.may lower speed and improve handling. A 4 blade prop would be best
but probably nearly impossible to find.
You probably have trouble in reverse. I think I read somewhere of adding reverse cup to improve reverse performance.
