Hey guys, looking to get a prop for my 1990 251 Liberator with a 454 OMC King Cobra. Trying to figure out what prop to put on it. Its a left hand Prop and there's a Stainless 19 on there now. Not sure of the make cause there's now markings on it. Previous owner just nicked the edges of the prop on there and I was gonna upgrade to something to pick up a few more MPH.

I got her out this weekend and I had it at 48-51 MPH on the GPS and the Rpm was roughly 4800-5100 depending on Trim. Couldn't get a solid number cause the water was a lil rough but that's roughly what I was seeing. Boat was also loaded with full 100 Gallons of fuel and 4 people and loaded fridge of golden brown goodness! lol

Re: Prop for a Liberator

If you read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps on the prop store page it will hewlp you understand prop selection While a 454 must have gobs of power a 25 footer that will do over 50 in rough conditions and a good load seems pretty close to right. If you give us the details of the motor and its rated rpm, gear ratio,
Details of the liberator; weight, length and hull form,Deep V?Load and activities.
Describe present performance.

Re: Prop for a Liberator

No worries I just called BBlades.com and talked to Brett. Really good guy and I'm ordering up a REV4 19P to try out first through they're test program. I'm gonna also try out the 21 Pitch REV4 aswell. I'll post up the results once I get everything on and running.
