Prop for new 60hp merc 4s on 18' starcraft SS alum?

New Merc 60hp 4Stroke
18" aluminum starcraft DV SS

Total weight - roughly 1800 - 2100 lbs.

Looking for anyone with this type of setup.
What size prop are you using?
Where is the cav plate in comparison to the bottom of the transom?

Just rebuilt the boat and have not tapped transom yet and want to drill spot on. Also just purchased new Merc OB and need to know what the right prop for my particular setup.

Any ideas or knowledge will be much appreciated!

18".....that's a very small boat

anyway, i think your motor is too small for that boat, I got a 16 ft aluminum lund with the same engine, tough to get on plane with 4 people in it.

I know it's under powered but the deal I'm getting is WAY too good to pass up. The boat isn't used for for skiers or tubing just fishn. My Starcraft is really light and with a hydrofoil It should make a little bit of a difference.

What size prop are you using currently and have you experimented with any others. If so what were your findings per RPM range, hole shoot, cruise, etc.

I want to try and get the right prop the first time.
