hi there

does anyone know the dry weight of 1987 Thundercraft Regency (outboard)

I am trying to determine the best prop pitch for it

have 115 hp mercy outboard on it with 19" prop

with family loaded, its not that fast out of the hole so may need to go to 17 or less

with 2 people, full fuel I am not able to get to recommended RPM (6400) .. but only getting to 5100

any help appreciated

115HP 4 stroke EFI (WOT 5800 - 6400 RPM) Gear Ratio 2.07:1

I am only getting 5100 RPM at WOT

1300RPM short with a 19P, but when this engine hits about 5800-6000 the power comes on real strong.
I'd borrow a 17P if you can and try it, see what ya get. If you have a service facility close by I would have the tach verified as well.

Engine is 2007, tach is smartcraft so I assume everything is accurate regarding RPM.

At the moment I assume it is the prop but then I would have hoped the marina selected the best match prop ... however it would appear that might not be the case.

Will 17" be sufficient ?

for the 17" prop .. can anyone advise on what is the best model / part number to match up to the 4 stroke 115 on this older thundercraft

Thanks again
