Re: prop help please !!!!!!

If your boat is underpowered, even a small pitch change can push it over the edge. Is this the case? What is the hp rating on the boat? What hp motor do you have? Also, changing from alum to SS prop can give drastic results, as you are also changing the style of the prop.

Re: prop help please !!!!!!

Not knowing the gear ratio to determine prop shaft rpm makes guesing hard on what to use.
You should be pitched to match the WOT of the motor.increasing pitch or dia. drops rpm.lose the hole shot and may gain in top speed if you have the horsepower to spin it.lower pitch will trade off the top speed for the hole shot, but you should not exceed the WOT rating
prop pitch in inches x shaft rpm = forward travel in inches ,divide by 12 (ft. per min.)= speed in ft. per min. less slippage. 5280= 1 mile /min. or 60 mph
