I've got a 1988 Force 85HP with single exhaust. I need to buy a prop with more pitch, but I can't tell what I've got. These are the only numbers I've found on it but none will decode...

Re: prop ID help

If the prop is original. Then someplace on the prop close to the blades. They usually have a # stamped in there. It will be a 15 or 17 or 19 stampped in there someplace. What RPM are you running at WOT?J

Re: prop ID help

Those are the only numbers I could find. The engine will exceed 6k if I put the hammer down but I keep it down to about 4.5 to 5k.

Thanks.

Re: prop ID help

I dropped the prop off at a local marine shop and they could determine the pitch.

The only thing I can tell is that it has 3 blades and it is approx. 13.5" in diameter.

If I can't figure this one out, can someone recommend a prop. This is for a 1995 20' Pontoon boat with a 1988 Force 85hp. I want to keep the maximum RPMs about 5 to 5.3K.

Thanks.
