Prop interchange ??

I have 14 1/2 X 17 Mercury prop (alum) and I have a guy who wants to buy it, if it will fit his E-Tec engine. It is a 15 spline prop and the E-Tec also takes a 15 spline prop. Will it work for him?

Yes, if it's has the old style rubber hub you will have to shorten the splines in the prop. No big deal, most any prop shop can do it easily enough. Lots of folks do it themselves.

If it's a newer prop with a square bore then all you need is a hub kit for the E-rude.

It is the old style prop with splines. I think he has decided not to go with it. Price was right but want the hassle.
