Goin' to pick up new prop tommorow and I have already removed old one. Question is... minus having a torque wrench how tight do I need to tighten it? It is a 2004 mercruiser alpha I

50-55 foot lbs using a torque wrench...don't know how to convert that to 'shade tree'!

I would take the nut to snug...and then about a quarter turn.

Is that in the owners manual? I was looking but didnt see it. My shop told me 60-80 lbs.

Thanks

Yep...straight out of The Bible!

Alpha and Bravo props...55 ft/lbs

Anything more, and you will never get it changed out on the water!
