Prop Nut

Hi all!!

Out of curiosity I am wondering if the prop nut is still available for a '71 model e'rude 40 hp (40153g). It really isn't a nut as it is the one that does not thread, it only slips on with a peg that slides down a keyway on the prop shaft and the cotter key keeps it on. REALLY hate the bozo-engineer on this.

Sure is. Contact a dealer. They can order that.

The part number is 305294 for the nut and 306394
for the pin..About $6.50 for the nut and .50 for the pins....

I'm back! I get out of pocket a bit.

Thanks to all for the part number and availability. I figured it probably was but being a "non-nut" in my book, I wasn't sure if there were enough calls for it. It's in my info packet for this Big Twin now!!
