Hey guys, been a little while. Looking at getting a 24' pontoon. Twin toon, early 90ish. I already have a 70 hp Johnson to put on it. Motor has the standard 13 1/4 x 17 prop. Just tryin to get some input on how that prop might work on the toon. There would almost never be more than 4 adults aboard, Standard toon furniture. No tubing or watersports, just slightly above idle cruising the intercoastal. I know this is not a lot of info but I'm thinking with as little as I would ask from it that it might do alright. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

It will move, but you'll need to reduce the pitch for the motor to survive and get the best performance. Probably the least of your concerns at this point.

on a 'toon, your probably going to be down to about a 13p to get the RPMs up to where your not killing the motor.

70hp on a 24' pontoon..... no way that would move fast enough for watersports.
