Prop Options / Suggestions - 1974 85hp Evinrude

I've read a lot of posts, but being new to boating, I'm still not up with it. <br /><br />I have a 19' Hurricane deckboat with an 85HP Evinrude. My top speed at WOT is ~24MPH with my family in the boat(per GPS since I don't have a speedo). It drops down to 20MPH with adding two more people. I bought this for a pleasure boat, not caring about speed, but would like a little more top end speed without sacrificing the ability to push 10 passengers around the lake. I don't know what prop is currently installed, but would like some suggestions as to what the best prop would be. Is there anything else besides putting a 150hp motor on the boat that would help me with top end speed??<br /><br />Thanks.<br /><br />Brad Z

Hey Brad<br />What you need to do is set up and optimize for your most typical loading with a prop pitch that gives you appx 5500 rpm at WOT. Post your current prop #'s and current rpm and speed and we can go from there.<br />Good luck
