Currently running a 10.5" x 13 pitch prop on a 16 foot Lowe bass boat modified V front with flat bottom. Boat has bare weight of 530 Lbs and carrys 3 27 Group batteries, a 6 Gallon fuel tank two people weighing about 360 Lbs total and maybe 50 Lbs of assorted gear. At WOT it turns between 5800 and 5900 RPM, and runs at approx 33 MPH measured with a fish finder as I do not have a GPS. I watch my RPM's carefully and keep it between 5-5500, but figure I need at a minimum a 15 pitch prop. Am I the right track?

I think you're better off keeping an eye on your tachometer and keeping what you have. You'll lose a lot of holeshot with a 15. 14 might be more appropriate.

Thanks for the response Willy, my son gave me the same advice but it never hurts to ask the experts. The boat currently gets on plane very quickly and handles very well. Will keep this prop and maybe pin the throttle lever so it will not get pushed past the 54-5500 mark. Again thanks so very much.
