If I go up in pitch does that give me more top end or less top end,and how does that effect RPM.I need to be educated on prop pitch and diameter, and maybe the difference between 3 blade and 4 blade props.

Re: prop pitch question

A higher degree of pitch will typically result in an increase in speed IF your engine is still able to achieve the recommended wide open throttle rpm. Each degree of pitch increase typically results in 150 - 200 drop in WOT RPM. If you are unable to maintain proper WOT, you'll be putting undue strain on the engine. 4 blade props of the same pitch will typically result in a slight decrease in top speed, but provide a better hole shot.

Re: prop pitch question

It will also help if you read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps on the prop store page. The 3 blade prop will deliver good overall performance with a good top end.
a 4 blade improves low to mid range performance usually with less vibration, better control at speed and at the dock It can reduce top end but not allways.
We will be glad to help with any confusion or questions.
If you tell us what your interestted in we can probably help solve things.
