Since my last post I'm looking at the options. On new props how do i determine the correct pitch. The motor is an 88 spl. Looking at props there's all kinds of options. Which pitch is best?

Re: prop pitch

With the prop that is already on you boat run it up to full throttle and note the rpm's. Compare your WOT rpm's with the manufacturers recomended WOT rpm's. If your RPM's are lower then the manufacturers, you with need a lower numbered pitch prop. If your RPM's are higher then the manufacturers, you will need a higher numbered pitch prop.

Re: prop pitch

Try this web page, it has a lot of information and the guy rich boger is a prop master and is very helpful. He helped me with my prop selection and actually told me to by a factory made prop rather then spending money on one of his custom made ones. He improved my boats performance with tourney weight I got more top end and better hole shot.
www.bogerprops.com good liuck.
