I've got a 1993 Johnson 48 H P outboard. I spun the prop spline today and cannot find the diameter and pitch anywhere on the prop. What would be a standard prop pitch??

Re: Prop pitch

Are there ANY markings? perhaps a p/n . Be sure to look in/on the end of the hub when the prop is off the engine.

Re: Prop pitch

If the prop is in decent shape you can have the hub replaced.Or a prop shop can measure the prop.
Numbers usually appear on the barrel near the blade base or under the prop nut.
If you can find the prop size and tell us along with your wot max rpm and speed we can tell if your setup is working as it should.

Re: Prop pitch

I finally found it. It was a michigan part number instead of size and pitch marking. Thanks, Jake
