The book doesn't give a spec . Just snug it down and insert the cotter pin. Use a stainless steel cotter pin. Make sure the big thrust washer is in place, forward of the prop. Prop will drag on the gearcase if that is left out. Often they will stick to the old prop and get thrown out.
