I am new to boating so bear with me. I have a 1988 21' Sea Ray bowrider with a 5.7L motor abd a Mercruiser outdrive. What is the proper prop size and diameter? I roughed mine up loading up.

Re: Prop question?

A prop shop may be able to repair your prop. They can tell you the size.
Check the prop for numbers on the barrel or under the prop nut.
The prop may have been selected for specific performance. You could
contact Sea Ray but they most likely will have suggestions for specific applications.Top speed,Skiing ,cruising ,full loads etc.If you read the helps on the iboats prop store page you'll have a better idea of correct prop selection.
You can measure diameter from the center to the tip of a blade on a 3 blade tip, to tip on a 4 blade. If you know your pitch you can look up the prop for your application on the prop store page. The diameter will follow the application.Diameter may or may not differ slightly from your prop.

Thanks, I think I ate it up pretty good. It is a 4 prop. Going to find out more once I am off work.
