i have a prop from my 90hp outboard .... i am thinking of selling it...but don't know how to identify in a knowledgeable way to a potential buyer what it is...pitch sized etc.... the numbers on the prop with 3 blades are P692 0371 and 692265.... on the outside of the prop it says: spinel 283 and also 16 or 18...can't tell if that is a 6 or 8.......those are the only indentifying things i see? also, how would i place a value on it ... it came off a 1990 90 hp force motor...actually it was a back up...never been used/or touched water... great shape...thx for the help

Re: prop question

Props are identified by manufacturer, DiameterXpitch and for what application. For example the 21" pitch Rapture I have would be listed as "Michigan Wheel SS Rapture 12-3/4X21" pitch for Merc V6 outboards and Alpha 1 sterndrives". In your case, you will need to find a match for those code numbers. You might search the web for part numbers.
