Prop question??

I have a 06 optimax 75 dfi. I noticed the prop has a little play fore and aft, and up and down. Flo torque iii design. Is this normal? Mixed feelings from reading other posts. Just would like a simple yes this is normal or no this is not.
Thanks. Also can I use a regular spline prop. Or must I use flo torque iii ?

I can't speak to the Flo torque prop but But in my mind a prop needs to be firmly attached no play.
You do need to confirm if the play is in the prop or the prop shaft.
As far as I know any prop listed for your motor should fit the prop shaft using the proper mounting kit.
I believe your Flo Torque requires a hub as do the Solas Rubex props among others.

Spoke with a Mercury mechanic today and all flo torque hubs are supposed to have play.
