I have this Glastron 73CV16SS.jpgwith the 140 Engine. I'm looking for top speed . Not pulling skier or anything. I also don't know the wot specs on this. Curious what prop (Non Stainless) would be a good choice. My old prop use to top out at 3700 rpm but I don't know the size and can't locate a # .

A prop shop can determine pitch of your prop.-----Then you need to confirm condition of the 140 HP on a dynamometer.-----Then you need to weigh the boat to make sure it is in good condition.----The foam could hold 600 lbs of water !!

I’d be worried about the idea of it only seeing those rpms. It’s either got a silly high pitch prop on it like a 25-27” (unlikely), you are running heavy, or something is wrong with the engine or similar. You need to sort that out first off. I know of a cvx16 Glastron with the same engine. It ran a 23” laser 2 mid 40’s consistent. Can’t remember exact rpms but it was certainly around the mid 4000’s or close. With a 21” ballistic it would be about as quick, but be closer to being damaging at late 4000’s indicating. Your boat should do almost as well if all was healthy. Should certainly run a 21” well enough.
