I just purchased a 1996 24' Sweetwater pontoon with a '96 Tohatsu 40 horse with a really bent up prop on her.

I want to purchase a new prop. Can you recco one for the most speed. I normally have 3 or 4 passengers. Also is the prob all I need or do you normally get other parts when changing out props?

1) Performance issue you are trying to correct. FASTER
2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless as a minimum. Bent ALUM
3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required). OEM.. whatever came on it new in 1996
4) Wide open throttle RPM and speed with an average load (very helpful) 5000
5) Engine/drive make, model, year, and HP Tohatsu 1996 40 HP 2 stroke
6) Boat make model, year, length and weight 1996 Godfrey Sweetwater 24' pontoon w/hardtop

ALSO I need a hard top or cover cuz metal is gone, but frame is good... any suggestions?

You should be able to get your prop fixed at a prop shop.Prop size should be near the base of the blades or under the prop nut. With the prop fixed get us the size and your present max rpm and speed. Very likely the repaired prop will work but if a change is needed you can keep the prop for a spare.
