i am looking to try a couple 21 pitch props (wot will creap up around 5200 and needs to be 4800) top speed today was 56 with just me and a half tank gas (gps)

current hole shot is amazing but i want to bring these rpms down. wouldnt mind

Sounds like the 19 is correct for normal loads since you only over rev with a light load. If you normally run with that light load get a 21. That will take away some holeshot but lower your wide open throttle RPMs. And you may get a little more speed too. You'd have to check the speed issue though, results vary on top speed.
You might benefit from having the 19 labbed, this is a fine tune of the prop to max it's potential to your boat.

i get the labbed thought but not practicle for where i am.

still wanting to try out a couple of 21's

with all of the manufactures and selection, what props should i look at and why those particular props. for example, x manufacture y series has more rake then the other which will give you.... and a manufacture b series offeres more cupping than the other which in you case....

one of the marinas by me is willing to go down this road with me (as long as i dont scratch or dent the prop while testing) the problem is they have a plethora of different props for me to test. i would like to be able to narrow it down to maybe 4 or 5 and take the best. i dont want this to be something where it consummes my life and i never get to enjoy boating

If you do a decent amount of water sports I would look into a Rev 4 21 pitch to keep around the same low end performance and get the speed as well. I assume you have 1.50 gears in your outdrive. I have the same setup but longer boat and 1.62 gears in my outdrive and I run a 19P Mirage SS 3 blade prop and have great low end and hit 48 RPM with 4 people.

If you are really pulling 5200, and you don't load a lot heavier I would go with an Enertia 3 blade, 21 pitch. Mercury propellers for Merc stuff is not a bad place to start.

I like the idea of running merc on merc

Your numbers look right to me. A 21 should be right and still be OK with heavier loads. You have 400 RPM to work with and your "current hole shot is amazing", so it seems prudent. I like the Enertia because it stays 3 blade to 3 blade. Another choice could be another Rapture at 21 inch. If all other performance issues, blowout etc. are good, maybe you shouldn't change brands/models. A four blade at 21 could be a double whammy with the additional blade also lowering RPM. If you never run heavy though, that could be perfect. Fact is that props are 50% luck and 50% voodoo; the rest is solid science.
