I have an '06 Regal 1900 with a Volvo 4.3L GXi. Current prop is an aluminum 14.5 X 19. At WOT, 5100 rpm (yikes) it hits around 48 mph GPS. I've tried a 19 degree Enertia SS that has yielded same RPM's, but 52MPH.

Yesterday, I tried my friend's Stiletto Bay Pro II 18 degree. WOW, the ride was smooth, midrange torque was Great, RPM's still 5100, top speed was 50 mph on GPS. Also, at 3000 RPM's, we where doing 30 MPH per GPS, aluminum prop I would @ 24 MPH on GPS. :D

I am looking for mid-top end performance on a stainless steel prop. Very impressed with the stiletto. Perhaps a 20 degree pitch will get my RPM's down, and better mph?

Anyone has this boat/engine combo?

Thanks,

Juan

Ayuh,......
I'd say you need a 20" or a 21" pitch to bring your rpms down,....
And,....
Hopefully get your mph Up.......

Not a prop expert but::
Pitch is refered to in inches.Each inch change in pitch yeilds about 200 rpm.I'm guessing your motor needs to be around 4,600 rpm.It does appear a 20in pitch Stilleto would yeild about 46 to 4700 rpm.You may want to confirm your tachs accuracy. It appears the Stilleto performs well.
