Prop rotation question

Sorry for the stupid question but...

Is this the proper way a prop works.

Clockwise rotation propels the boat forward.
Counter Clockwise propels the boat in reverse.

Jay, you are correct, unless you have a counter rotating engine, then it is just the opposite.
