Prop RPM

My boat is a 1997 Fourwinns 205 Sundowner 5.7 Gli
Current prop 14.5 x 23
After sorting my rev counter out I took the boat for a run on flat calm sea's.

Tank 3/4 full
2 adults
WOT 4000
GPS Speed 46mph

Does this sound right ???

That works out at a 1.68 gear ratio, assuming a 12% slip value.

Is that what you have?

Since the WOT rpm range listed by Volvo is 4200-4600 rpm, it appears that you might need to drop to a 21 pitch to get your rpm up within the proper range.

Can you recommend best make of prop, 3 or 4 blade
