Prop rubber shock absorber

Has anyone ever spun the rubber shock absorber out of a prop? We can idle up to about 1/3 throttle and then the motor acts like it slips into neutral and instantly red lines. It is not cavitating. It is mercruiser early 70's with a 350 chev.

Yep.It happens.You'll need to have another pressed in after the spun one is removed.
